CfP: Oyundergi – Journal of Games 2015-1

Oyundergi – Journal of Games, the first Turkish academic journal which deals with digital and video games and game studies is awaiting your Turkish or English submissions for its first issue! Oyundergi is a non-profit, open-access, crossdisciplinary academic journal, that  will publish two issues a year at oyundergi.com.tr and oyundergi.org .

Oyundergi accepts previously unpublished Turkish or English full articles focused on games and gaming, through a double-blind review process. The journal also accepts contribution from industry in the form of “Letters to Editor” and book reviews. The range of possible topics includes (but is not limited to):

  • Casual games
  • Social Games

  • Game industry (in Turkey or internationally)

  • Histories of games
  • Presentation of race, gender, space and time in games
  • Table-top, traditional and analog gaming

Oyundergi accepts previously unpublished full papers for submission. The submission should include these files;

 

Your article with no ID associations

Turkish or English only

Between 3000-8000 words including References and Endnotes

Please include a 300 word abstract

Please include several keywords.

Text with 12-points Times New Roman

Main title with centered and bold 14-points Times New Roman

Subheadings with 12-points bold Times New Roman

Please do not use Footnotes, instead use Endnotes

Please number figures, tables and images

Please use APA format referencing (http://www.apastyle.org/)

A seperate file with your name, title, institution and contact information

 

Letter to Editors and Book Reviews

 

Oyundergi accepts non-academic or academic letters to editors that deals with industry perspective or responses to previously published work. Oyundergi also accepts book reviews about relevant publications. Letters and book reviews do not go through peer-review yet the editors always keep the right to publish or not publish them;

 

Your letter/book review with your name, title, institution and contact information

Turkish or English only

Between 500-3000 words including References and Endnotes

Text with 12-points Times New Roman
