Abertay University seeks to appoint a Lecturer in Game Design within the Division of Games and Arts in the School of Arts, Media and Computer Games. The ideal candidate will have a good theoretical foundation and established research practice as well as documented experience in the design and development of digital games in a studio or other collaborative environment.
Candidates should hold a PhD in a relevant subject or have equivalent professional experience in a relevant area covering game design principles, practices and the history, theory and contexts of games, interactive media and computer arts. The successful candidates will teach game design theory and practice to undergraduate and postgraduate students in the School of Arts, Media and Computer Games while pursuing relevant research and practice within their field.

Recent research and knowledge exchange collaborations include projects with Microsoft UK and Sony Computer Entertainment Europe, 20th Century Fox, the Victoria and Albert Museum of London, the National Theatre of Scotland, and the Scottish Dance Theatre.
