Job: Assistant Professor or Associate Professor

The Department of Media and Information (M&I) at Michigan State University (MSU) invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position at the rank of Assistant Professor or Associate Professor in the area of Media and Information broadly defined. We seek an emerging scholar and teacher with an innovative research program that can complement our efforts to expand the boundaries of our field. While we are open to candidates with a wide range of backgrounds and interests, we are particularly interested in candidates with a strong interest in one of the following areas: human-computer interaction; multi-disciplinary study of the design, use and effects of information and communication technologies (ICTs) such as the Internet, social media, games, and mobile. An interest in computational social science, behavioral social science approaches, and emerging research methods related to these areas is desirable. Candidates with a specialization in a specific domain, such as media and information in health, community,or development are encouraged to apply.
