Job: 2.5 year PhD research grant on the topic of ”Gamified health/wellness technologies”

PhD research grant on the topic of ”Gamified health/wellness
technologies” for 2,5 years under supervision of Associate Professor of
Gamification Juho Hamari in the Gamification Group. The total amount of
the grant is 50 000 eur and it is paid by monthly basis (29 x 1692,45
eur + 918,95 eur). The grant recipient does not need to pay taxes of the
grant. The grant recipient has to take the pension and occupational
accident insurance from MELA (more information on www.mela.fi).

The applicant has to simultaneously apply for a PhD position at Tampere
University of Technology or University of Turku. Please contact the head

The position provides excellent context for doctoral studies and
research since the candidate will work closely with other scholars of
the Gamification Group as well as will have access to data and
organizations working on the area of the position.

Sought after qualities of the candidate:
• Prior studies in some of the following areas: HCI, psychology,
information systems science, health –related sciences
• Quantitative methods (including e.g. setting up online experiments,
survey research, quantitative data analysis )
• Basic prior knowledge of gamification
• Game design experience
• English language proficiency
