PAID FULL-TIME DIGITAL ARTWORK AND ANNIMATION FOR SERIOUS GAMES PROJECT

An exciting job opportunity for a digital artist and animator on international research projects in Nepal and Brazil. The role involves digital artwork and 2D animation for two serious games projects improving community resilience and risk assessment of hazards such as landslides and rock falls in rural areas of Nepal, and community engagement to increase awareness of zika virus in Brazil using gaming and participatory surveillance and mobile technology. Excellent opportunity to gain experience on prestigious international projects and develop a unique portfolio.

The role will involve digitizing existing artwork, drawing natural scenes, objects and 2D animation. Artwork will draw from available photographs and existing pictures. Close collaboration with the games programmer and domain experts is required. Local advice from experts in Nepal and Brazil will be available.  Based at UCL, London.

LOCATION: UCL, London

DURATION: full time for 4 months (starting immediately) followed up by part-time opportunity
