Job: Professor of Games and Education at UW–Madison

The Department of Curriculum & Instruction is a premier research and teaching unit devoted to understanding the complex world of teaching, learning, curriculum, and policy. World-class research is the foundation of our work preparing both the next generation of educational researchers as well as future teachers.

Candidates should have earned their doctorate degree in curriculum & instruction, learning sciences, design studies, media studies, game studies, or a related field.

This is a 9-month, tenured, full-time faculty position. The successful candidate will: teach undergraduate and graduate courses in the game design certificate, digital media, and STEAM programs; help build a dynamic graduate program that will attract and fund a diverse cadre of high caliber students; seek federal and private funding that is explicitly devoted to games and education; establish a nationally recognized research program focused on games and education; advise undergraduate, masters, and doctoral students; and participate in shared governance and other committee activities.
