DiGRA Ombuds Team

The DiGRA Ombuds Team offers members a confidential, impartial way to raise concerns, report misconduct, and seek conflict resolution outside of the Executive Board. The team supports a safe, inclusive community by handling complaints, advising members, and upholding the Code of Conduct.

About the Ombuds Team

The DiGRA Ombuds Team is an independent body appointed by the Executive Board to support all members of the association. Its purpose is to provide a safe and confidential channel for raising concerns, reporting misconduct, or seeking advice when conflicts arise within the community.

At least one Ombuds Team member is present at every DiGRA conference, so participants have direct access to an impartial point of contact during events. Outside of conferences, the team can also be approached by email to discuss issues confidentially.

The Ombuds Team’s role is not to make policy or adjudicate disputes, but to listen, provide guidance, and escalate matters appropriately when required. Each quarter the team shares an anonymised report with the Executive Board to help track patterns and ensure accountability while protecting member privacy.
