The inaugural Bizplay 2012 gathers top-notch Enterprise Gamification experts from Europe, Australia and the US at a club-like venue at the Kreativpark Alter Schlachthof in Karlsruhe, Germany. The event’s website can be found at www.bizplay.org.

Moderated by Gunnar Lott (Communications Director, flaregames GmbH, Karlsruhe), Bizplay 2012 is an intense one-day symposium and hands-on workshop format featuring both talks as well as workshops led by our invited experts:

During their morning talks, the experts will share with the attendees how gamification, game design and persuasion design methods can positively affect and alter key management fields in their enterprise and/or institution. During the afternoon workshops, the experts will playfully tackle select enterprise challenges together with the attendees. The challenges will be pre-selected from a pool of suggestions submitted by the attendees during their application process. In addition, Audi AG’s strategy unit will deliver a keynote to introduce us to how game thinking plays a role for them, in the future.

We expect to gather an audience of of passionate entrepreneurs, successful executives, and institutional representatives, as well as game changers from diverse fields. Lunch and dinner buffets are included into the event (so there is a chance to network), and a DJ will be spinning tunes during breaks.

Bizplay 2012 is curated by Dr Steffen P Walz, director of RMIT University’s Games & Experimental Entertainment Laboratory (GEElab). It is co-organized by RMIT University’s Games & Experimental Entertainment Laboratory and its European branch based in Karlsruhe, the GEElab Europe, jointly with K3 – Kultur- und Kreativwirtschaftsbüro Karlsruhe (a project of the City of Karlsruhe’s Wirtschaftsförderung and the Kulturbüro of the Kulturamt) and CyberForum e.V.
