CfP: Digital Heritage meets Interactive Storytelling 2015

Proposals are invited for twenty-minute papers presenting ongoing research, and ninety-minute hackathon style workshops at the interdisciplinary conference:

Digital Heritage meets Interactive Storytelling – the technology, creativity and research behind digital games and interactive environments as applied today

to be held at the Department of Theatre, Film and Television,

University of York, on the 9th and 10th April 2015.

The conference-workshop aims to bring together scholars and practitioners from the humanities and sciences to investigate the potential of digital games and interactive storytelling for the enhancement of research in the humanities. The two-day event will encourage the exchange of knowledge and the development of sustainable and collaborative working relationships.

The workshops are meant to present ongoing research and investigate the creation of usable software, or hardware; they will help users to explore the potential value of interactivity and digital games as research tools and as a means of creating social impact.

Please submit abstracts of 250 words as Word or PDF email attachments to rt748@york.ac.uk by the 28th February 2015.
