Diversity Summit in Games: Washington, DC, USA – October 25, 2014

As the debates continue on how to support diverse participation in the games industry, American University is providing a one day summit and workshop on game diversity.
This year’s annual event will focus on employment in the industry. We embrace diversity of gender, culture, race, religion, socio-economics and others as integral to a healthy international games community. We define industry participation widely, including games journalists, game academics, and game developers.   Our discussion is likewise inclusive, focusing on 1,500 person AAA game makers to two person independent studios.

The event is an opportunity to talk with other individuals interested in increasing the number of perspectives that contribute to the games community.

We invite applicants for this one day event which includes lunch, time with professionals in games, and opportunities to network with others.

This event is provides at no cost to attendees.   Current registered attendees include graduate and undergraduate students from Georgetown University, George Mason University, University of Maryland and members of the religious and independent games community.
