Historical Games Network Call for Contributions: Gender

The Historical Games Network has today launched the call for contributions for our next quarterly theme: gender and historical games. The theme is guest-chaired/convened by Dr Tess Watterson. You can find the call here: https://www.historicalgames.net/call-for-contributions-gender/.

We’re open for contributions from right now until 30 June 2025, and we’ll post the content we receive in the period through to the end of July.

If you have an idea you’re interested in exploring, please do get in touch with us at historicalgamesnetwork@gmail.com. We’re particularly keen to encourage the submission of content which addresses underrepresented histories and perspectives, including histories of minorities and marginalised groups, and historical games beyond the Global North. We are open to a range of different contribution styles and formats, including video, audio and game content (e.g. Twine).
