Lecturer (Assistant Professor), Games Design
This position requires demonstrated ability to teach in the discipline area of games design and development in the Bachelor of Design (Games Design) program and significant industry experience in games development and programming. Applicants with expertise in one or more of the following areas are encouraged to apply – game software development, mobile/console game programming, design-oriented scripting languages, game design principles, plus working knowledge of one or more middle-ware environments (Unity, UE4).
The successful applicant will be skilled as a teacher, knowledgeable about games development, and demonstrate an ability to develop games through to an end product through a portfolio. The candidate should possess a demonstrated commitment to research and a collaborative work ethic.
You will have a doctorate or PhD within a field related to games development and programming and will be required to undertake activities in line with the university’s research strategy that emphasises relevant and applied research to advance scholarship and professional engagement.
