Brunel University offers a unique suite of game design courses at undergraduate and postgraduate level that bring together education, research and professional practice. The Game Design team are seeking to appoint a creative, enthusiastic and dedicated Lecturer to contribute to the teaching, research and professional practice of digital games within the Screen Media academic group. Successful candidates will bring current games industry expertise and knowledge, as well as the capacity to communicate exceptionally well and enthuse students. Candidates should have experience of animation, graphic design, character design and storytelling in a games context. The post holder will have an honours degree and a PhD, or equivalent, in a relevant discipline and experience of undergraduate teaching. They must have a clear research agenda in the area of digital games and contribute to the reputation of the group as a leader in the research and teaching of Game Design.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the Asset Creation and Storytelling strand of the Game Design programme at undergraduate and postgraduate level, contributing to the teaching of theory and creative practice. They will be confident in teaching academic and theoretical components alongside professional, creative practice.
