Job: Senior Lecturer in Creative Technologies (Computer Games) @ Leeds Beckett University

We are investing in our academic provision and are seeking to appoint a Senior Lecturer in Creative Technologies (Computer Games) to join our team of experienced academic staff.  We are looking for an inspiring and enthusiastic academic to make a key contribution to our academic provision through teaching, research and enterprise.

You will be able to teach and contribute to our research and enterprise portfolio in one or more of the specialisms of Computer Games or Creative Technology.

 

Whilst the possession of a doctoral qualification is desirable, a first degree and a master’s degree in a relevant field are essential.  Evidence of HE level teaching experience is desirable.  We are particularly interested in seeking candidates with knowledge of the games design and asset production pipeline with skills in 3D animation using 3D Studio Max, Motionbuilder and experience with motion capture and/or games programming experience using middleware game engine technologies  (e.g. Unity/UDK4), the C languages (C,C++, C#) and Mobile Applications Development. Relevant games industry experience is also of benefit.

 

You will join the creative technologies academic team based at our Headingley Campus and contribute to the delivery of our growing undergraduate and postgraduate provision. There are extensive and excellent specialist facilities located in a setting which offers many additional amenities for our students and staff.

 

The School of Computing, Creative Technologies and Engineering at Leeds Beckett University brings together our accredited Computing, Business Information Technology and Computer Forensics and Security provision with courses in the creative technologies (Broadcast Media Technology   Computer Animation and Visual Effects, Computer Games, Creative Media Technology and Photographic Journalism). We are developing new courses in engineering, the first of which are Electronic and Electrical Engineering and Food Engineering.
