Applications are now open for the ‘Games for Cities’ EU COST training school (Amsterdam, October 10-14, 2016). The training school is open to graduate students (PhD and advanced Master), early-career researchers, and practitioners (game designers, interaction designers, urban planners, architects, designers, artists…).
In the Games for Cities Training School, participants will explore the design of playful installations and urban games in public spaces as a means of ‘citizen empowerment’. In particular, trainees will investigate how play and games can be used to engage and activate citizens around the advent of a ‘circular economy’.
The Games for Cities training school will alternate short lectures to (game)design sessions in an interdisciplinary studio setting.
