Job: Full time Lecturer Position in Digital Design, RMIT University, Melbourne

The Role and Your Responsibilities

The position requires demonstrated ability to teach into the Bachelor of Design (Digital Media). The preferred candidate should be skilled as a teacher, and demonstrate an ability to work at industry standard and integrate their creative practice with teaching and research. The position requires a demonstrated commitment to research and a collaborative work ethic.

Skills & Experience Required

Applicants will need to have recent experience in some or all of the following: web and app prototyping; wireframing; user testing and deployment; interaction or user interface design; user research; responsive design. Additionally applicants should have significant practice in these fields of professional digital design practice, or have a significant track record of practice-based research in these fields. They should also be able to demonstrate significant networks in the industry or research contexts, related to these fields of UX and digital design.

Candidates should have a completed doctorate or PhD within a related field, and they will be required to undertake activities in line with the university’s research strategy that emphasises relevant and applied research to advance scholarship and professional engagement.
