Participants Wanted: Playing with Emotion

I’m Victoria Alexeev, a graduate researcher at Bradley University and founder of VGTx Research. I’m currently recruiting participants for Playing with Emotion, my thesis study examining how specific video game mechanics relate to momentary affect and player experience.

For the project, I designed and developed an original browser-based indie game that experimentally isolates specific RPG mechanics. Rather than asking participants generally about games they already play, the study uses the game itself as the experimental environment.

Participation details:

Approximately 20–25 minutes
Fully online
Open to adults 18+
Basic English reading ability required
Participants play a short original game and complete brief questionnaires
Not recommended for individuals with photosensitive epilepsy, seizure disorders, or severe motion sickness
