This is a call for proposals for a committee and location to host the next series of DiGRA’s international games research conferences. We are actively seeking proposals for 2017 and 2018. Proposals for conference hosting in 2019 and beyond are also welcome.

Following its successful inauguration at DiGRA 2014 in Utah, the Role-Playing Game (RPG) Summit will continue on European soil the discussion of all things role-playing related. Please note that the call for papers for this summit is separate from DiGRA, but the event itself is a part of DiGRA and events will be included in the DiGRA program and proceedings.

New Mailing List for Gamergate Research
Due to member request, the DiGRA board has set up a mailing list for members researching gamergate. The purpose of this mailing list is to encourage high quality research, promote member collaboration, and provide a forum for academic conversations about gamergate away from the main DiGRA mailing list.

The executive board of the Digital Games Research Association publicly condemns the harassment and bullying that some of its members have faced over the last few months due to their work researching and studying videogames. DiGRA is categorically opposed to this kind of behavior.
