Northeastern University is seeking a non-tenure track faculty lecturer for an interdisciplinary position in Game Technology and Design joint within the College of Computer and Information Science and the College of Arts, Media and Design starting September 1, 2013 or January 1, 2014.

In the past several years, Northeastern University has made a major commitment to interdisciplinary education and research in select fields with the goal of achieving international leadership. Games and Interactive Media is selected for growth and is being developed jointly by the colleges of Arts, Media and Design and Computer and Information Science.

Qualifications:
We seek a lecturer who can play a major role in teaching in Game Technology, Science, and Design and in related areas of computation. This lecturer will also contribute to shaping the focus of the program at the undergraduate level and in its evolution into the graduate level. This person will play an important role in the cross disciplinary efforts bridging games, design, creativity, science, and computing.
We expect successful candidates to demonstrate a strong commitment to and excellent record in teaching in any of the core areas of game design, game science, game technology, including (but not limited to) game development, game design, prototyping, game scripting, game programming, artificial intelligence, interactive or real-time 3D graphics, animation, networking, physics and simulation, interface design, human computer interaction.
Applicants must have a PhD in computer science, game design or related areas.
