Research Fellowships at The Strong (NY, USA)

The Strong has recently added a couple of new, major collections and a new research fellowship devoted to the study of games.


The Atari Coin-Op Divisions Collection, 1972-1999 offers a systematic record of the history of Atari’s arcade and pinball divisions. You can read more here:

The Brøderbund Collection, donated by Doug Carlston, offers a window both into the history of Brøderbund as well as the early PC Software business in general. More information is here:

The Strong has also added another fellowship for research at the museum into play and games. The Mary Valentine and Andrew Cosman Research Fellowships support scholarly research about games of all types and related topics of play. Like the existing Strong Research Fellowships, applications are reviewed three times a year and the next deadline is May 30th. More information for potential applicants is here:
